Since this is the first time you are learning how to draft and sew, it is advisable to get fabrics that are not too soft and slippery.
Please only buy the following fabrics:
Basic Drafting & Sewing
- 100% cotton poplin/gingham for blouse
- 100% cotton twill for skirt
Solid color fabric is highly recommended. However do note that you clearly mark which is the face and back of the fabric.
If you prefer to get prints, you must get prints that are non-directional and that you can cut either directions. That means if you choose a dinosaur print, you must make sure the dinosaurs are looking at all different directions (up and down, left and right) and not only one direction.
